Alireza Rafieipour, Deputy Minister of Agriculture-Jahad and Head of Iran's Veterinary Organization, met with Ahmed Sayf Al-Amri, Deputy Head of Oman's Veterinary Authority. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding mutual cooperation in scientific, technical, and commercial fields within the veterinary sector.Â
In this meeting, Rafieipour stated that this visit was aimed at assessing the health conditions of egg production and packaging facilities in various provinces of Iran, as well as exploring the possibility of obtaining import permits for table eggs to Oman.Â
Welcoming the Omani delegation, he described the expansion of health and veterinary cooperation as a suitable platform for improving service quality and facilitating livestock exchanges between the two countries.Â
Ahmad Sayf Al-Amri, Deputy Head of Oman’s Veterinary Authority, pointed to the limitations in livestock and livestock product production in Oman and expressed his country’s interest in importing live animals, animal products, veterinary medicines, and vaccines from Iran. Â
It is anticipated that the Omani delegation's visit to production and health facilities in Iran will pave the way for increased exports of the country's livestock products and strengthen trade and economic relations between Iran and Oman.Â
