The export of 50,000 tons of chicken paws from Iran to China launched!

 

The Deputy of Health and Prevention at Iran's Veterinary Organization announced an increase in trade relations between Iran and China, stating that: "Iran has the potential to export around 50,000 tons of chicken paws." 

As reported by Bazaar from the Ministry of Agriculture, Seyed Saeed Hosseini, in a video conference with Mr. Liu (China Customs' animal disease control official) and senior Iranian Veterinary Organization officials, highlighted growing trade ties between Iran and China. He noted "Iran can export around 50,000 tons of chicken paws and China has formally expressed interest in direct imports of this product from Iran." 

The Deputy of Health and Prevention at Iran's Veterinary Organization added: "Given Iran's export capacity of approximately 50,000 tons of chicken paws, this export opportunity could provide significant economic benefits for poultry farms and Iranian traders." 
Hosseini stated: "China has formally requested direct imports of chicken paws from Iran, whereas in previous years, this product was exported indirectly."

Hosseini referred the requirements set by the Chinese side and stated:
“China emphasizes that Iran's HPAI-free status must be formally certified by WOAH. The Iranian side will complete and submit all required documentation."

The Deputy of Health and Prevention at Iran's Veterinary Organization further noted: "Additionally, the Chinese side has requested a self-declaration regarding the absence of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Iran. All required documentation on this matter will be submitted during the next meeting within the coming two to three months." 

He further stated: "These measures could generate substantial foreign exchange earnings for Iran's poultry farming and slaughterhouse sectors."
